Leads on Line
Please consider using Leads on Line as a way to inventory your belongings. You can open up a free account at: http:reportit.leadsonline.com. Leads on Line is a way to record your property’s make, model, serial number, etc and photos can be uploaded as well.
If you have been burglarized and you see what you believe is your stolen property (for example, on EBay or Craig’s List, etc), you must be able to produce documentation that the item is yours. Having a detailed inventory, such as one using Lead on Line, will help you get your property back if our officers recover it. Please consider taking the time to make a complete inventory of your valuables.
Auto Burglaries in the Area
Please lock up vehicles and remove all items of value from your vehicle. We cannot afford to leave visible or ‘hidden’ items in our vehicles. In the past week in the Foothills Area Command we have had reports of purses, cash, and sunglasses stolen from vehicles. Parking lots at schools and apartments are being targeted by criminals.
One incident this week involved hand and power tools being stolen from a vehicle at an apartment complex parking lot. If you depend on your tools to earn a living, play it safe and remove the ‘tools of your trade’ from your vehicle.
Be safe, and thanks for your support of our Foothills officers and the Crime Prevention programs.
