From APD:

Daily Property Crime in the Foothills: Wednesday, 9/17/14

27-3C: 0

27-3R: 0

27-3I: 1
Beat 534: 10905 Malaguena: male smoking a cigarette entered garage when female resident got home and threw her to the ground and hit her on the head and stole her purse, fled in vehicle/possibly an SUV, 2 male offenders witnessed by neighbor; purse, wallet, driver’s license, checkbook, credit cards, eyeglasses

27-7: 0

27-5C: 0

27-5R: 2
Beat 521l 425 Jane St NE: entry made through unlocked back door; e-cigarette stolen
Beat 532: 1609 Blair Dr NE: garage door and doggie door both broken; victim thinks offender is ex-brother in-law

27-5A: 1
Beat 521: 400 Eubank (Wal Mart parking lot): cell phones stolen from vehicle; unforced entry made to vehicle

Notes:
• The garage attack is scary; saw one earlier this year to an elderly female in her 70’s up in the FH east of Tramway. This occurred around 2000 hr last night.
• Could the beat 534 officers on swing and grave swing by Malaguena and the general area to add some presence?
• I will be stressing the importance of keeping the garage door closed in today’s Daily Watch Notes on the FH web site, www.foothillsareacommand.com
• Residential burglaries continue to show garages, doggie doors and unlocked doors at the back of homes are points of entry. It is interesting to see how the usual kicking in the front door method of entry has changed in recent months.
