Comprehensive Plan - Focus Groups
The project team needs a little more time to improve the draft update and a little more help from you to get there!
The public open houses announced for December 2 & 3 will be rescheduled for January 27 & 28.
In the meantime, we hope you will come to a series of focus groups -- one for each Comp Plan chapter -- to help us consolidate goals and policies from over 100 standalone documents and identify implementation actions. These are working sessions with public and agency staff and other stakeholders. We hope to see you there!
• Focus Groups to identify goals, policies, and actions for each chapter of the Comp Plan will be held in Plaza del Sol, Basement Hearing Room, 600 2nd Street NW at 8:30 am, 10:30 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm. See a full schedule of topics on the project webpage.
o Monday, November 30 - Neighborhoods, Urban Design, Land Use, Transportation
o Tuesday, December 1 - Economic Development, Housing, Parks/Open Space/Community Facilities, Heritage Conservation
o Friday, December 4 - Resilience/Sustainability, Service Provision, Implementation
Other public meetings about the Comp Plan will follow in December and January.
• County Meetings for County residents to get up to speed about the process of updating the Comp Plan to date.
o Wednesday, December 9: 6-7:30 pm, Raymond Sanchez Community Center, 9800 4th St. NW
o Thursday, December 10: 6:30-8 pm, Westside Community Center, 1250 Isleta Blvd. SW
• Public Meetings for City and County residents to review the full draft of the updated Comp Plan.
o Wednesday, January 27
2-3:30 pm North Domingo Baca Multigenerational Center, 7521 Carmel Ave. NE
5:30 - 7 pm Los Duranes Community Center, 2920 Leopoldo NW
o Thursday, January 28

Integrated Development Ordinance (IDO) - Module 1 Draft
Reminder! We would love to have your comments as soon as you can get them to us, although we will take them anytime!
The draft of the 1st of 3 modules is available for public review on the project webpage.
• Are these the right zones for Albuquerque?
• Are the right uses allowed in the right zones?
• Where did we miss the mark?
Leave comments on the project webpage or email abctoz@cabq.gov.
Next Steps: Module 2 will propose dimensional standards for each zone and for unique neighborhoods - due out in Spring 2016!
