Dear Neighbors,

Please review the attached documents to see the outstanding work being done by the Albuquerque Police Department's Foothills Area Command. We are entering the busy time of year with school, holidays and vacations. I encourage everyone to take a few moments to ensure all doors and windows are secured before leaving your home! Criminals are ever-present and looking for the easy opportunity.

I'd like to remind all neighbors that Jill Garcia is working hard to organize Neighborhood Watch Programs. This is the most effective tool APD has in catching criminals in the act and preventing crimes within the residential areas. Just this past week, an alert neighbor called to report a burglary in-progress. He supplied the vehicle make and license plate. Foothills Officers and Detectives had the offender in-custody with 40 minutes. The Neighborhood Watch Program is inexpensive! It's FREE! APD will supply the training FREE!
