Foothills Area Command Crime Prevention: July 25, 2014

Burglaries in the Foothills: 7/ 18 to 7/ 24
Auto Burglaries:
Items stolen from vehicles since Friday:
Firearms - Backpacks - Stereo Speakers - Vehicle Registration
- Vehicle Insurance Papers - Radar Detection Unit - iPods -
Adaptor - Driver's License - Social Security Card - Check Card
- Wallets - Purses - Sunglasses

4 of 6 auto burglaries over last weekend occurred at a single apartment complex parking lot - rental managers please alert your security and management teams and I can provide you with crime prevention materials for residents.

Every auto burglary committed on Monday in our Area Command was to an unlocked vehicle or a vehicle with windows rolled down and valuables left inside.

Residential Burglaries:
Vacant homes (vacationing owners), homes with open windows or unlocked windows were targeted last week. What has been stolen from homes in the Foothills since Friday? Multiple firearms, WII system, 3 TVs, Blanket, Shoes, Clothing, Jewelry, Laptop, iPad, Tablet, Xbox, Play Station, Purse, Identification, Tools, Wallets, MP3 Players, EBT card, Bus Pass -
Reduce your odds of being a victim by locking doors and windows and keeping garage doors closed.

Stay safe!
