Dear Neighbors,

I have received positive feedback on last month's report to the Neighborhood Presidents. I hope this information gives you a little better insight into what the Albuquerque Police Department, specifically the Foothill Area Command is doing to fight crime, improve safety and the living conditions within our community. APD's Crime Prevention Unit has provided some documents (attached) providing sound tips on preventing residential burglaries, auto thefts, advise on door-to-door solicitation, and how to start a neighborhood watch program.

Last month I spoke of the Neighborhood Watch Program being one of, if not the best, crime prevention tool we have for the residential community. I am always available and more than willing to assist with the developing of a neighborhood watch program! Please talk to your neighbors and suggest meeting with me or my staff for information on the program.
